About Cropel project

Being the developers of data recovery software (www.ReclaiMe.com), we have noticed that data recovery software has certain difficulties with hard disks which are mechanically damaged. Data recovery off such disks requires eirther mechanical repair in case of catastrophic damage like bearing seizure or rather expensive specialized duplicators to handle hard disks with bad sectors.

Knowing that mechanical failures of storage devices can be often predicted based on the S.M.A.R.T. data, and understanding that prevention is better than repairs, we decided to develop Cropel S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software in addition to our other disk utilities.
